In Search of Supplies for Sunday…

Greetings, CSA members!

Farm to You Fest is this Sunday at the farm! We have an army of volunteers and great activities planned. We are in search of a few supplies to help our kids’ activities be successful for everyone. If you have any of the following available to donate, please drop them off at the farm and leave them in the farmhouse for Jessica. Used materials are welcome.

  • Acrylic paints for pumpkin painting
  • Googly eyes to bring pumpkins to life!
  • Foam stickers or shapes for pumpkins
  • Old clothes, various sizes, for scarecrow-making!
  • Hats
  • Old newspapers
  • brown paper bags
  • safety pins
  • Face paints (these should be new, unopened, please)
  • Sacks for sack races

In addition, we are looking for pop-up tents or canopies. The event is rain or shine.

Its not to late to volunteer. ¬†Remember- people who volunteer can get the farm tour map and schedule free of charge! Highlights of the tour include a book signing with Joan Gussow in her famous riverside garden, workshops at Hook Mountain Growers to convert your lawn into a growing area, an open house at Rockland’s only dairy farm, a cover crop workshop at Stony Point Center, open houses at farms and garden projects across the county and much, much more!
