The Orchards of Conklin 300th Anniversary Party!!!
RT 45 and South Mountain Road, Pomona
The Concklins invite you to celebrate with them at their 300th Anniversary Festival on their farm located at RT 45 and South Mountain Road in Pomona. Admission is free and there are activities all day: Music by the Walkabout Clearwater Chorus and The River Acoustic Band, square dancing with Pat Cannon, Storyteller Chuck Stead, farm tours, children’s activities and more. Grilled food by Chumley’s BBQ will be available for purchase. Their farm store and garden nursery will be open. En Plein Air: A Painting Workshop at Cropsey Community Farm!
Kids/ Families: 10am – 11:30am, $20 per RFA member, $25 non-members
Teens/ Adults: 4pm – 6pm, $25 per RFA member, $30 non-members

Experience “en plein air” (in the open air) painting at the Cropsey Community Farm barn! Learn basic drawing and painting while taking in the beauty of the farm. Barns have always been a popular subject matter for artists everywhere. Basic drawing and painting techniques (line, value, light and shadow), fundamental composition, and color relationships will be discussed. Finished paintings at the end of the workshop can be displayed at a future farm event and could be auctioned off in support of the farm! All materials are provided.
