PRUNING THE CROPSEY FARM PEACH TREES
Do you have Spring Fever? Are you itching to get some exercise outside?
Looking to begin your work share hours?
Come by the farm on Friday, March 9th or Saturday, March 10th at 8am for a “Pruning Class” given by Farmer Greg.
Then stay for pruning, cleaning the orchard floor, moving debris, making compost and installing compost preps.
Work will continue on Saturday-Sunday March 10 and 11 until complete.
These Peach Trees have been at the farm for about 30 years, but have been out of production for awhile. Farmer Greg and staff would like to try and save the trees.
We need pruning saws, pruning sheers, (no loppers) small sturdy step ladders, weed whackers, lawn and brush mowers (in good working condition), a lawn thatcher, broom rakes, tarps, back pack blowers, and interested energetic people.
Volunteers must be a member of the Cropsey Farm CSA
Please sign the work share hours clipboard with your name and member number. Clipboard will be located inside the farmhouse.
Peaches are not included in the Cropsey CSA share this year, hopefully in years to come!
Please let us know if you are coming to volunteer and what tools you might have.
