This weekend we have two great events that RFA and Cropsey Community Farm will be participating in:
Tomorrow at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens’ 19th annual Chile Pepper Fiesta we will be one of only TWO farms featuring our hot peppers! It’s the first time the BBG has asked farms to come and peddle their peppers, and we are one of the farms they chose to invite, so it’s a pretty nice honor. And do we have the peppers! The Fiesta is from 11am to 6pm, and features lots of fun activities, as well as eight live bands, so come on down and join the fun! If you can come and help out that would be great, as we need some more volunteers if possible, if so, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP. Warning: you need to be in Brooklyn at 9:30am if you are working the fiesta!
Sunday, October 2 we will also be representing at the Historical Society’s annual Fall Festival. The fun is from 1–6pm, so come on by and help us spread the word about what RFA and Cropsey Community Farm are doing to bring small-scale agriculture back to Rockland and preserve Rockland’s rich farming history. 20 Zukor Rd., New City, NY. $7/adults, $3/children.
Hope to see you there!
PS: Due to unpleasant looking weather forecast for Sunday, we may be canceling the membership potluck brunch at the farm. We will send a follow-up email tomorrow either way.
